HOLLYWOOD - Brad Renfro's girlfriend tried to revive the actor after finding him dead in his Los Angeles apartment, according to a just-released recording of her emergency call.

On the tape, released on Tuesday, a woman can be heard telling an emergency services operator she had tried to wake up the Client star for an audition but he was unresponsive.

The unnamed woman, who also said Renfro's nose was bleeding and that he may have taken some pills, is then instructed to give the 25-year-old cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Renfro died from an accidental heroin overdose on Jan. 15.
