It is amazing what types of problems are seen in a small town ER. I mean I have taken care of heart attacks, strokes, car accidents, broken or dislocated bones, and that really fullfilling to me. What really drives me crazy is what some people use the ER for. I will give several examples.
Late one night I get a call from a local ambulance crew stating that they are bringing in a woman who was in her thirties and was complaining of a toothache. It took langer for the woman to get to the ER than it took to treat her and by hthe way the womans husband followed the ambulance to the ER in his car.

Just the other night I had a married couple come in the woman stated that she had a lump in her vagina. I asked her how long the lump had been there and she told me. I dont know. I know it wasnt there 2 weeks ago.
(Hmm This woman doesnt wash or what)
One night a young woman comes to the ER complaing of pelvic pain and unusual odor from her vagina. The doctor performs a pelvic exam and pulls out 2-3 inches of a slimy brown substance. When asked what that was, the doctor replied it was an old tampon.
(the young woman forgot that it was in there. Nasty)
