Africa  is the World's largest and second most- populous continent. It covers 6% of the earth's total surface area, and 20.4 % of the total land area, with more then 900 million people (as of 2005). In 61 Territories it account for about 14% of the world human population.

The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the North, the Suez Canel and the Red Sea to the Northeast.  The Indain Ocean to the Southeast, and the Altantic Ocean to the West.

There are 46 Countries including Madagascar and 53 including all the Island groups.

Africa is considered by most paleoanthropologist to be the oldest inhabited territory on Earth, with the human species oringinating from the continent. During the middle of the Twentieth Century.

Africa boasts perhaps the world's largest combination of density and "range of Freedom" of wild animal population and diversity. With wild populations of large carnivores such of Lions, Hyenas, and Cheetaha's and Herbivors such as Buffalo, Deer, Elephants, Camels, and  Giraffes.

Giraffe's

Are widespread in Africa and occur in most of the major game reseves and national parks in East and Southern Africa and have eared an iconic a status amoung the  continent's wildlife. This is understandable as the giraffe is truly unique with the genus containing only a single species.

The Giraffe is also the world's tallest animal, with males reaching height of 5.5 meters (18ft) from head to toe, and weight of 1200 km and the females height of 3.5 meter and weight of 800 km, Life expectancy 20 to 30 years.

Giving Birth:

Females give birth standing up because they cannot easily set or squat, so a baby giraffe starts life with a bump, being dropped on its head from a considerable height. The baby is born with horns another feature unique to giraffe's. As males mature they use their horns to fight so that the tips of the horns become bold, while the female's horns retain hair on the tips.

Diet:

The Giraffe eat leaves, fresh shoots, flowers, pods and fruits from the trees, of which acacias are the most important source of food.

Giraffe's drinks water if it is available, but can survive without it. The forelegs are stradded and the knees bent in order to get the head down low enough, while drinking they are very vulnerable and will not drink if suspicious of danger.

Cheetah's

Are known for their exceptional beauty, grace and of course, speed. it is also hunting Leopard as Cheetahs were petsfor Arabian and Indan Princes.

The Cheetah is the smallest of the big cats, an average individual is 2 feet 6 inches to 3 feet at the shoulder and up to 7 feet long and weighs 130 pounds.

Cheetah's resembles leopards but are easily distinguished. The Cheetah is more slinder, relatively longer and not as powerfully built. It's neckname "the grayhound of the cats." It is graceful, with a small head, carried low when walking, and a inwardly curved back.

The Cheetah is a shy, and retiring creature and unaggressive. A leopard will fight when corned, but a Cheetah will just growl unless really threatened. Usually they make tweeting noises and when they are happy they purr loudly. The Cheetah is a rare animal, elusive and difficult to find, since it stays hidden unless on the hunt.
