If you thought life was hard for Malcolm-Jamal Warner who moved to the post-apocalyptic Jeremiah after The Cosby Show, you’ve really got to feel bad for the youngest of the Cosby clan. Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam has moved to prostitution. Thankfully, her choice of the world’s oldest profession is just as fictional as Warner’s dark future, and she couldn’t be doing it for a better man.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, former Cosby kid Pulliam will play an incarcerated prostitute in Tyler Perry’s next picture, Madea Goes to Jail. The movie sees Perry’s popular character behind bars due to her over-the-top antics. In prison she befriends Candy (Pulliam), who she rescues from a large woman named Big Sal who apparently likes to prey on the other inmates.
The movie is a pretty notable role for Pulliam, who has only had a handful of roles since The Cosby Show went off the air in the early ‘90s, one of which was an appearance on Perry’s TBS series House of Payne.
Other additions to Madea Goes to Jail include Derek Luke, Tamela Mann, and David Mann. The movie will start filming next month with an early 2009 release planned.
