Seeding is simply allowing the file you downloaded to upload. On bitcomet this is represented by a reddish-orange arrow pointing up. You should seed atleast a 1:1 ratio, meaning seed the amount you take. You can tell how much you have seeded by highlighting a task then in the lower box of the window highlight statistics and scroll down to the bottom and it shows you your total upload count for a task.
