When we overlook the odvious, we can often gain in-sight into the real nature of a conflict or problem. For example: If we hold off on responding to someone's anger, we can look deeper and see what's really behind it. Fear, guilt, or low self-worth often send out anger as a defense.
We don't try to see beyond the surface so we can judge others. We do it to gain a deeper understanding of all the situations and people in our lives. The more we understand, the more we can respond with love.
Sometimes insight seems to come to us out of nowhere. Sometimes we have to work at seeing beyond the surface. As true insight always comes from the deep inner self that connects us to our true values. It's a gift we only have to be willing to use.
