How do I fix/repair the red X stopped[torrent_cannot_open] error? I cannot download any torrents. I did a system repair (similar to a format but keeping my files) but now bitcomet won't download any torrent. Again, how can I fix/repair this? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling BitComet and nothing. I even deleted the programfiles folder and registry entry.

Yes, I have two hard drives, and nothing.

Look at the path C: \ Program Files \ BitComet \ torrents\.

Do you see the torrent what you opened?

mracer Tue Jun 3, 08 10:56 PM

No I do not see the torrents I attempt to download. I only see the file listed within BitComet but marked with a Red X to the left of the file.

May be you do not have write permission at the folder。 You try to close System Restore and system protection settings.

Hello,

The red X mean you don't have enough place on your hard drive, less as 5 GB.

To resolve the issue, change the directory to an other harddrive, deleted few of your folder [save those before on Dvd or Cd-rom]

O.k. My red X problem has been resolved. Now my new problem is that completed downloads don't change file formats. The file formats remain: .bc!

How do I fix this?

how about hash check again?

mracer Tue Jun 10, 08 04:52 PM

How do I hash check? I'm not familiar with that term

mracer Tue Jun 10, 08 05:02 PM

Gavin, Please dis-regard my last message on hash checking. I didn't google the term before asking. I hash checked and all is well now. My next question however is, I've download 4 large files thus far, and all have ended with .bc! Am I going to have to continue hash checking? This wasn't a problem before. Is this a bug in 1.02 or did my formatting cause this?

There are some changes for hash checking the boundary piece in 1.02. Perhaps, you use older version to solve the problem.

re-start only the download, by hash checking,

click two time on the torrent you want re-start, if the circle was grey, soo you must get the arrow green.
