Lindsay Lohan is set to play the romantic lead in a new movie called Labor Pains. I’m sure there’s a joke in here somewhere, but frankly I’m so sick of Lindsay Lohan I really don’t have the strength to do it.

Variety says the romantic comedy stars Lohan as an assistant at a “stuffy” publishing house. She pretends to be pregnant in order to keep from getting fired. Oddly enough, this sounds like exactly the sort of thing Lindsay Lohan might actually do. At the very least, she certainly knows a lot about getting fired. I guess that makes her perfect for the role, assuming she shows up on set sober.

Labor Pains is a movie that’s been floating around in development hell for awhile. Now it’s been pulled out by Nu Image/Millenium Films and they’re set for production to start June 9.
