Rising star Amy Adams scored an Oscar nod for her quirky role in Junebug, and now she’s ready to take a bite out of crime. According to Hollywood Reporter, the redhead actress is joining an indie feature called Sunshine Cleaning, which exposes her to the morbid side of life.
The film, directed by Christine Jeffs (Sylvia) and Karen Moncrieff (Blue Car), is about a 30-year-old lady who has wasted a whole lot of money on loser ex-boyfriends. Rather than waiting tables or selling cosmetics door-to-door, she and her younger sister decide to go into business together, launching a crime clean-up business. I know a few Sopranos who could certainly use their services.
The script is written by Megan Holley, and production will kick-off in February.
