Hi everyone...

Im shane, I'm new here and to Bitcomet.

OK, so I have a 1 MB bandwidth internet connection.

Under Bitcomet options,

My Global Max Download Rate: 15 kB/s

My Global Max Upload Rate: 10 kB/s

My Listening Port: 25935

When I'm download a torrent, my browsing (firefox) is really really slooooooow, sometimes stop, but when i stop my downloads my browsing (firefox) works normal (faster than when bitcomet is downloading).

BTW when I'm downloading I hardly ever get anything above 8 kB/s.

I do not know what to do, Please Help.

Thank You.

Instead of a bandwidth problem, this sounds like a problem with the number of half-open tcp connections that Bitcomet is making.

In the options under Advanced->Connection

change the max half-open tcp connections to 8.

Or maybe it is a bandwidth problem?

In the options, have you adjusted the upload limit for the LT(Long Term) seeding option? You can either set a limit or just turn it off.

Also, are you connected thru a router, have you configure the router to portforward your listening port??

Thanks for the help.

I set the Long-Term Seeding to 10 kB/s,

and my half-open tcp con. to 8

Listening port, i dont see any portforwarding on my router.

However my browsing seems to work alot better, my downloads on bitcomet is slow right now, 3 kB/s (health 242%).

Thanks again, i will monitor and post again later today.

thanks

OK

The problem still exist.

This time I noticed,

Even if BitComet is open but NOT downloading, all browsing speeds are dropped dramatically.

When BitComet is closed, then browsing speeds are normal.

LT Seeding - OFF

Half-Open TCP - 8

Then it must be a problem with network congestion from the DHT Network affecting your DNS requests.

In the settings under Advanced->Connection uncheck the DHT Network, then you must close bitcomet and re-open it for the change to take effect.

1.Change the half-open limit to 200.

2.Open LT Seeding and set upload rate limit to 50KB/S

try it.
