Here’s how screwed up the world is right now: I just watched the awesome first trailer for Jason Statham’s remake of Death Race… and all I could think about was how much gas they must be wasting. Those are some serious gas guzzlers.

Death Race stars Statham as an ex-NASCAR driver who goes to prison for a murder he didn’t commit. He’s recruited by a no-good network executive to compete in the most brutal race on the planet, a race to the death in which convicts compete driving souped up, heavily armed automobiles. First one to the finish line earns a get out of jail free card.
