1.02 on vista slowing down

Hey Guys,

Need some advice here. I have just upgraded to version 1.02 on windows vista, works ok but,

When i boot up comp and get bitcomet fired up, it downloads like a lil train........however, I have found that if i leave it working away on its own for a while it slows down like its out of fuel.

For example, I had it on tonight, left it for about 5 hours and came back to it and both download and upload speeds were floundering around between 0 and 3 kb. I rebotted the computer and off she went, back to normal speeds.

This has happened a few times.

maybe im just going >>

i have no this problem.

perhaps, screensaver? or other?

the problem may be about your OS.

would a screensaver slow it down that much??? Its just a standard windows screensaver i have on.

hi there,

i have turned the screensaver off and still the same. I have made sure the hard disk is set never to turn off in the power settings also, but still the same.

It seems fine if i am working on the pc doing other things, but when i leave it to its own devices, everytime i come back to it its stopped downloading...

I don't have a problem either, I don't think screensaver has anything to do with it, are you sure you did a port forwarding correctly? Hmm, but then again if a port got blocked you shouldn't get a speed back just by restarting

Hi , yes after 1.2 i got same problem.

Win Vista X64 ultimate ,

Well after some time i did work out whats its wrong:

1. firewall

2.port f/w. in yours router

3.no more then 3 dl at the time ,dont know whay but all my settings are set to 5 dl at time.

Then you see

One more run as administrator ,ater ways no way you get full speed.

yeah I noticed the same problem, bitcomet needs 2 come out wid a update or something 2 repair it
