I'm a role playing gamer and a GM besides, so I have ample opportunity to test the limits of naming, and bend the names. I present a few "happy accidents" that I used for ages before even knowing the translations
Krylor; First Champion, Last God, bane of Mortem (God of Death), protector of the Underdog. The secret face of communism. If one looks at the word "krypton" and modifies accordingly one might find some fallacies corrected. Profit to point, result becomes nonlinear.
Trynthalis; City that never was. I had this named before I ever read Foundation and it's a correction for "tranthor" nonetheless. Forget the ladder, it's a convergence of factors that is created by the sacrifice/intervention and it results in negation of division. Forget "cycled result", it's a ladder to profit for the collective self. Tranthor is a scientific tag. The NAME is Trynthalis.
Those two were bugging me for a long time.
Let's look at two tiny little words next. "is" and "am". Third person; self circuitous/concealed. First person; ladder to multiplicity/great mass. You WONDER why we treat each other as less than human. It's right there. "He/She is" automatically attempts to lessen others while "I am" is an automatic self aggrandizement. Genuine apologies include in their very wording attempts at a claim of "biggerness". Honest attempts at understanding of another's subjective start with animal caging.
I realize most people don't want to see these things, but they're true nonetheless. Recognize the strings. Stop being pulled around like puppets. Take responsibility for the social weight you put on the shoulders of others, who all understand this system on some level or other.
Am I there yet? Hell no. Half the time when I'm trying to be gracious and relent it's taken as further aggression, because I don't think my wording through and it ends up being interpreted in a subjective I didn't predict. People are willing to go to war on the strength of their subjective interpretation when I was trying to offer peace. It SUCKS!
But due to prejudicial thinking, dogmatization of reaction, when I speak anyone who has ever been offended by me before tries to find further offense in my words. I can point to an ice cream cone and say "take that", and they duck thinking I'm about to swing. An exaggeration of course but you see what I mean, I hope.
