Without a doubt:

BitComet 1.02 with UBCP ( http://voodooman.gta-action.ru/ ). (AVG 8.0 might report the patch as a virus. This is false positive due to the "heuristic scan"! It does not contain any malicious code.)

BitComet 1.01 (and all earlier versions) conflicts with Private Tracker Anti-Ghostleeching scripts (hence many have banned it). Therefore, I recommend to upgrade to 1.02 at once!

When BitComet 1.03 gets released, upgrade to that one at once as well, as the wrong user-agent has been fixed in that one.

If you want a stable client without "bells and whistles" - then it is the "original" BitComet client 0.70. It still lacks the EVENT_COMPLETED announce-line, hence it'll conflict with anti-ghostleeching scripts as well.

BitComet 1.02 is all good. I have noticed a lot of people needing answers to issues with hangs and other junk that is a hassle to say the least. Nothing flows smothe when you have others involved other than yourself with software garbage. I use peergaurdian to resolve ISP complaints. I use avast anti-virus which solves anti virus issues I also use SpyBot SD Resident all 4 running with http:// blocked. Leechers are leeching and not seeding as well as the seeders are adding their own garbage to the mix. After a few pit falls and victories I have over come the junk and virus war. It is going to get worse with Microsoft pounding on us for legal payment software to go along with all of this. As of sometime next month be aware they are launching a new goodie that is going to shut you down if you do not have a legal copy of any version of Windows. Now most of my downloads are ar 500 or more. So I do not have to wait around for the bone heads to catch me. Fly and bye is my motto. I have tried all the torrent services and have found BitComet with emule enabled to be the most proficiant program around without a doubt. It is extremely fast and difficult to screw it up face forward it is the leader of them all if you have another you think is better send it to me I want to know. Since I'm a rebel and cannot stand any of these big corps ripping me off. BitComet 100/100

any version supporting the built in member zone is much better , and you can get score which will increase your speed even for low seeded items (at least for me

so in short , keep your bitcomet up to date and make sure u keep seeding
