My SHORT Review of the movie "Dark Knight."
OH MY GOD! I saw this movie the night after it came out and it was totally worth the $10.00 to see it in theaters. Heath Ledgers last performance as the joker was probably his best performance ever. He was even better than Jack Nicholson when he starred as the Joker. For example: Jack Nicholson as the joker was goofy, homicidal and all out crazy. He danced around alot, used little novelty gags like the toy gun, his acid-squirting flower and of course the balloons. Loved to kill for the fun of it.
Now Heath Ledger as the joker, was very different in a spectacular way. Instead of being the court jester that likes to laugh and make jokes, he chose the creepy frightening approach that still managed to make the audience laugh at times. Heath's approach toward the joker was a lil more serious. He wasnt dancing around, using gags or cracking jokes. How ever he was still very crazy, and funny because he was non-chelant about being crazy. You'd think that everything he does during the movie is completly random but in actuality everything he did had a purpose that played out in the end. I swear when that part of the movie came up everyone in the theater was like: "OH SHIT!" But the joker does do a magic trick with a pencil after the very first minute you see him. After that I gaurantee you'll fall in love with him and the rest of the movie. Oh and Harvey Dent makes an appearance too as the new Ditrict Attorney of Gotham. (Uh...oops!)

One of the funniest sceens that invulved the joker was a lil more than half way through the movie, which is 2 1/2 hrs long by the way. The joker is walking out of a hospital wearing a hospital gown, (y'know the kind that patience wear and dont close around the back all the way) no pants, no shoes, just him in a gown and black socks. Hes the only one walking out because earlier he announced to the city of Gotham that one of the schools or hospitals was going to be blown up; so all of the hospitals were evacuated. As hes walking he reaches up with his hand and activates a bomb in the hospital with a detonator. The detonator makes a *beep noise and then simutaneous explosions begin erupting from inside the hospital. The joker keeps walking as a few explosions go off but then stop. After the last explosion, the joker stops walking and abruptly turns around to look at the hospital. He looks, and waits then throughs his arms up in confusion and dissapointment as if he were saying "WHAT THE FUCK!?" Then proceeds to jiggle the detonator, but nothing happens. So he starts to pound on the detonator, and finally it makes another *beep noise and the Hospital begins blowing up again but this time with three times more power, knocking entire walls down and desintegrating the roof. The joker knods in appeasment then climbs into the back of a school bus. (He does all this without saying a word, which made it all the funnier)
