Hi,

Please uninstall Bitcomet completely, then delete the install folder (backup your torrents for any active task, as they will need to be restarted).

Optionally you can run a registry cleaner.

Reinstall the latest version.

If this doesn't resolve the problem, then there is either a conflict with another running process, or your system has an instability. Keep in mind that bittorrent protocol uses your computers internet connection in a much more active way then normal internet activity, so a system might appear stable until you run bitcomet.

You might also want to edit your windows startup list. Some programs load into memory every time windows starts, even if you rarely, or never use it. One such problem we have seen is a logictech webcam. In this case you don't have to uninstall the webcam, just prevent it from loading into memory when windows starts, and don't use the webcam AND BitComet at the same time.

You can edit your startup by entering "msconfig" from the "run" command, or by running a third party program, such as "EasyCleaner" (free program made by tonyarts).

If all else fails, and you only use bitcomet for bittorrent downloads, then you can install version .70.

This version is a much lighter program and will probably not have this issue.

*all versions are available from our archives at bitcomet.com*

I hope this info helps you.
