I find it funny you post your question in a topic that is only intended to list the requirements we need to help you, and you completely disregard them with your question.

Basically your making it impossible for anyone to help you, so this time actually read what I took the time to post, then go make a new topic...

You can also request support here...

Hi,

You can change bitcomet's processes to higher prioriity, to give them more cpu time, if you open task manager, look in "processes" tab, then identify any related to bitcomet, but "if" this helps, it will only be covering the symptom by throwing more resources at it.

You can also adjust your cache size to require less harddrive access.

Here are a couple alternatives you can try.

1. Edit your windows startup, removing any program that isn't used EVERY time windows starts. Most software publishers feel their software is important enough to load into memory when windows starts, even if you only use it once a year, its still starting and running in the background. Some of the worst offenders I've seen are webcams.

Go to "start" and find the "run" command, type "msconfig" and run. This will let you remove any processes from startup.

There are also free programs that can do this for you. EasyCleaner (by tonyarts) is a good one I've used.

When you remove all the unneeded processes, this problem may be resolved.

Also note, by removing a process, it doesn't mean you can't run that program, it just will take a minute or two longer to run when you first start it.

If all else fails, and your only using BitComet for torrents, then you may like to try version .70. This is the latest version of the classic Bitcomet, and is considered most stable by many.

Hi there

Im using Bitcomet 0.93

Running windows xp

Dual core cpu

1gb ram

running Avast antivirus

I have a 4mb line and i am using a Billion 800VGT router

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but how do you forward your listening port?

My problem is that I have that orange light to say the node is blocked and therefore i get suboptimal speeds for downloading. How can i correct this? By the way, my bitcomet is an exception to my windows firewall.

Please help!

Thank you!

has anyone REALLY ever downloaded anything on this shitty website?!?! every time i click on the option to download something, the header of the download screen says "this movie may be fake. do not download" ...what the fuck is the point of advertising as a website that you have over 6000 titles, when i cant even watch one??? so did anyone figure out this yet?-all i want is to simply download a movie for god's sake!!!!

thanks

RoKuSis Fri Sep 26, 08 10:02 PM

Holey-Moley! WTF, for gawd's sake! Hasn't NE1 read the header of this post?

It says "READ This First"! oh, right, but it did NOT say to post elsewheres for a service request.

My bad, assuming that everyone who posted inside this thread is dead-on stupid. I mean, all this person wants to do is "download a movie for god's sake!!!!"

Not like he (its??) willing to pay a coupla bucks for a movie, or read the instructions, or review the previous posts, or provide more info (as requested) or...

Naw, just whine a bit about this "shitty website". If it dinne work, Mike, go somewheres else. Gotta be some torrent somewheres that'll ease your pain.
