Hi all

i would like to see BitComet to allow a torrent to have HTTP/FTP download src's added aswell like the WoW Torrent townloader as Bitcomet has its own Checksum for files could you allow A Torrent to have HTTP/FTP sources this would work as any free software hase a HTTP/FTP link and then some have torrent i just think it would allow users to get downloads a little faster

I believe this is already supported, if I understand you correctly.

When you download any file, be it a torrent/eMule/http/ftp, and have "search for mirrors" enabled, BitComet will look for sources in any of these four protocols to speed up your download.

This is dependent on our database containing "hash" details for the files in the torrent. When you enable the "send statistical data" option, the filenames, hash details, and locations are kept for others to use, so the more this feature is used, the smarter it will become.

Hi, in our rules for requesting help, one of the things we ask is your BitComet version, as some versions don't support some options.

Since I don't know what version your using, I can only offer general advice.

Select your task, "right click" and open "properties"

Click on the "advanced" tab, and the options should be there.

This of course assumes your version supports some form of search for mirrors. Also note that in order to use an ed2k (eMule) source, you must have the emule plugin installed and working.
