I cannot watch videos

When I download videos,The soundtrack plays and I only get a Windows Media Player Visualization play it also says the video is a avi.Can someone please help and can they tell me how to get round it.Thanks

Get a proper player i suggest VLC player (freeware):

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

A light weight player who have all nessesary codecs on board and it will play subtitles as well.

If you are not sure which codec is missing - use GSpot, it tells you which codecs are required for your multimedia files and which codecs are installed, missing - saves a lot of problems.
