is it faster to just have a couple of items on download or does it slow it down by having lots on??

I am no pro, but experience tell me that having lots on will speed up the download; BUT it is dependent on

1. the no. of seeds / users available for the items; &

2. your download / upload bandwidth.

When you donwload 1 file at a time and the upload is set on your max. depending on your bandwidth you get the best result on your download speed. Try a file with lot seeders and leechers for example a aXXo-file, very popular.

if you set your download to max and upload to only 1 kb ans just download one file you get a good bandwidth
