A few months ago we were one of the first sites to bring you stills from the upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel Stardust. The great Mr. Gaiman was kind enough to send his readers over from his official site to see them, and since then I’ve been following his journal over there.
Today over at NeilGaiman.com, the celebrated author is giving everyone a chance to sneak a peek at what might have been. The teaser site for Stardust has been up for awhile now, and remained completely empty. Today Gaiman revealed that’s because Paramount has scrapped their plans for it, in favor of going a new direction with it. But before they decided they wanted to do something else, they actually completed a full website for it. They’re not going to use it, but they’ve allowed Neil to host a version of the rejected Stardust site on his server.
If you click here, you’ll be taken to that site which is full to the brim with brand new, never before seen photos, stills, and wallpapers from the movie. Gaiman isn’t sure how long he’ll be allowed to keep his mirror site up, so browse through it while you can. Meanwhile, Paramount is supposed to be working on a different site, which they’ll launch in a few weeks.
