HOLLYWOOD - Photographer Larry Birkhead has forgiven his late ex-girlfriend
Anna Nicole Smith for lying about his parentage of their baby Dannielynn.
Birkhead and Smith split in Spring 2006, when the model was still pregnant.
When their daughter was born in September in the Bahamas, Smith's then-partner Howard K. Stern was named as the father on the tot's birth certificate. Two months after the fatal accidental drug overdose of Smith, Birkhead was finally confirmed as the baby's father on April 10.
Birkhead tells Britain's OK! magazine, "I have hurt about it, but she's gone, so where am I going to direct that hurt to? I can't really hold that inside.
"I think she would have come around and we're almost to the point in California where she would have been ordered to do the DNA test and I just wish that it would have happened sooner, then maybe I would have been allowed to be around her. Perhaps I could've done something to help her."
