Hi all, I have just installed the edonkey plugin, but after googling edonkey, it seems that the edonkey network has all been closed down, so why install the plugin?

Apologies if this is a really dumb question, just i'm a little confused! (blonde lol)

Thanks

Jx

The ed2k network is used by millions of people, and even if you don't download with it, in come cases bitcomet will obtain some or all of your files in a torrent by searching for them on ed2k, without any need for you to find them, just enable searching for mirrors option.

The eDonkey network was mostly comprised of the eMule client that is open source. The BitComet plug-in uses eMule not eDonkey. The ed2k network is very alive and functional.
