 I am running Bitcomet 1.04, Vista 32 bit home premium, 2 Gigs ram 2.4 dual core pro, lan, router and port is open.

 

None of this is a problem, though.

 

Has anyone else had this happen to them?  I have 1.04 installed but when I go to download the torrent, I get asked the above (You haven't installed the latest version of BitComet.
Do you want to install it now to speed up your downloads?) 

 

When I do click yes, it just overwrites the original version and does the same thing over again the next time.  It is really starting to annoy.  Please help.

If u r dloding from wtorrent, try another site. I suggest mininova.org.

but you can still check if u r really installing 1.04 by doing this.

Even I am facing the same problem. It was ok till I was using 1.03 but ever since we have had the latest version (1.04), I am unable to download any file. I am always asked to install the latest version and despite the fact that I have the latest version installed, I keep getting the same msg!!

Hey I noticed a bar on the top of the window requesting to run active x control. If you click this bar (i.e. allow to run active control), it starts working the normal way. It is surprising that I noticed this bar only after I removed windows messenger from the Internet explorer Add ons. May be this is simply a coincidence.
