BitComet vs uTorrent

4 a while, i was usin' uTorrent as my downloader, and that's entirely peer based downloadin', so some of the files can be stupidly slow. u rarely ever see n e thing passed 150 kB/s.

 

now i'm stuck on BitComet 'cause it's amazing. files download fast compared 2 uTorrent, i love lookin' @ the icon that's ever present on the screen near top left when the down speed says 300 kB/s. 'course that doesn't happen all the time, but hell, it's better than almost always seein' 50 kB/s with huge torrents that have no 1 2 seed off of.

 

downloadin' right now, a file that's 4 gig with no seeds at all, even possible 1's, and the down speed is readin' mostly 170 kB/s. goes 2 show how much better BitComet is.

christara I have got to ask! What freakin' internet provider do you use and what kind of package to you have from them. I have to tell you that your total speed of over 700 is completely outstanding compared to what I can get. On a very good day for me I can get a max total of about 200 kb/s for all my dl's combined. I know that my settings are about as good as I can get them so I know that is most likely has to due with the ISP that I have as well as the package that I have with them but I'm just very curious to know who your ISP is and what kind of speed package you have with them and how much you pay for it if this is not asking to much or being to nosy. I'm sorry if I'm being a little nosy here but I'm very interested because I would absolutely love to get those kinds of speeds! If I could get those speeds I would go out and by a 1 terribyte external HD and download all the movies I could to it.

I use BItcomet because of the ranking and the blogs. However, I download with 2500-3000 kb/s with Bitcomet and with Utorrent, too. I don't think it matters what program you are downloading with, it's importnat from what web-site you are downloading, and what is the quality of your Internet.

i think utorrent is one of the bests , but bitcomet allways works fine with my internet provider..so i use bitcomet ..
