red "X" in front of my torrent

I need someone to help out there...I download a torrent from isohunt (or whoever) and all I get in BitComet is a red "X" instead of a green arrow like usual...WTF?  No matter what I do (like click on the torrent and then hit "start"), the red "X" doesn't go away.

 

Is anyone else having this problem?...running vista OS...any comments back would be appriciated.

what does it state in the summary. there must be some clue in there. My best guess is BC is blocked by firewall.

The only firewall that I have on is the one for norton (and obviously can't shut that one off. The thing is, is that BC worked before installing an updated version of the product. I thought maybe the new version was incompatible with windows vista or something...that's why I was asking if anyone else out there was having the same problem...it is driving me nuts. I have checked every connection that I can think of, but with no resolve.

I had this problem.

I was trying to download to a root directory. After I changed the download location to a subdirectory ... it all works again
