I have tried everything i can think of, please help with yellow blocked sign!

I have tried port forwarding, firewall exceptions, setting up a static ip, shutting off the firewall, everything i can think of and yet no green light.

I have realised though that the ip next to the yellow circle is my dynamic ip address and also shown in the statisticcs bar as my WAN ip. Does this help?

Thank you

do you have a router?

if so... you must open your port over there. not in your firewall.

how to open a port in your router:

-go to your router.

-go to option: virtual server. there you can open ports

-use "port type" (e.g port:) PPTP

-insert your listing port: look in bitcomet what listing poort your using: /options > connections

-select TCP

-type your pc's ip-adress

and your done...

every router has a diffrent setup. but this information will do enough.

you also have to disable UPnP mapping. otherwise bitcomet resets your open ports on you router

-how to:

options> connections

port mapping: enable UPnP port mapping

well, i hope this will help you out!!

greetings dolly

at first the port forwarding instructions worked for me, and then a few days later i restarted the comp and noticed i was blocked. i checked that everything was ok in all my settings, and just like in your case, everything seemed in order. then i noticed my router had the option checked off so it could function as a DHCP server or something, but since i only have the one comp on this router, i figured i didnt need it, so i disabled that. then i went to bit comet and right-clicked on the yellow light and on check again - it came back as good! see if this works for you.

my port for my computer shows up as Com10, which can not be added. Any ideas?
