Hey, just about everytime I download from iso-hunt, my file does not complete. It will stop at some percentage 99% 65% whatever and continue to download indefinitely. In the past, sometimes I have been able to stop the down load, run a manual hash check, then restart the download and it will eventually finish. But not anymore. Now it will even get up to 100% on the hash check then reset to the lower stopped value or a little above. We're talking a 404mb file and I have already download 3.86GB. Two questions: Where is all that data going and how the heck do I get the download to end and have all the files complete.

its the P2SP seeders... sometimes it does download more than needed... if your downloads are getting stuck at 99% or so, then stop the torrent, right click & select manual has check and then start the torrent again...

ok leave the last part of the above post... used to happen to me when i was using a wireless network... dunno what exactly happens to the extra downloading or why it occurs...

Sometime useless stuff is downloaded which is discarded after hash check, that is why more stuff is downloaded than the file size, or if you are connected to many peers than same stuff is downloaded from more than one peer.

My understanding is that torrents are downloaded in section or parts. If one of these parts are incorrect for any reason it gets discarded. So for example you'll have downloaded 1 gigabyte but only 960 megs will acctually have been accepted and 64 megs will have been discarded.

Hash check your files and if they are not complete it will continue to download

if what comes around goes around, then when is it comming back this way??? If you think you may not like my answer then you should not ask the ques

Maybe it is the torrents when you search up a torrent and it does not have enough seeds than after the seeds leave all that is left is the leechers. You have probably noticed that leechers can share the downloaded parts so you continue downloading untill you have all the available parts from the leechers (which isn't 100 percent).

That is why you have to look for healthy torrents (with a seeder/leecher ratio close or greater than 1 or the seeder count exceeding 100 seeders). I download by this rule and only rarely (1 in 20) end up with a stuck download. Also hash check.
