Recovering deleted files?
Size: Large, Medium, Small Sun Dec 14, 08 09:02 PM | Category: My Postbar

Hello, I am running BitComet 1.07 on Vista Home Premium (64 bit). I just downloaded a file and, because of a selection error/confusion, ended up deleting the very file I had downloaded instead of the files that I had intended on deleting. Is there any way (other than the recycling bin, since deleting the files doesn't send them there) to recover these files? Or will I have to re-download the whole damned thing?

Although I hope the former, I'm betting on the latter. :(

There are a few options.

You can take the professional route an get a program called Encase. (You would need training) This is what the law enforcement agencies use to recover your hard-drives (even after a format or over-write)

Or try this torrent

Enjoy

I would say see if you has a recovery date made prior to deleting it, sometimes you get lucky that your computer makes a checkpoint when you download something.

There are always one or two that fall for this stuff - but some people don't want to be helped ;)
