just keep running your upload after you finish downloading a movie until such time your share ratio reaches more than or equal to 1 per movie. if you want to keep uploading more even your share ratio is more than 1 it would be much appreciated, helping others who are in need.

And you are in some cases already seeding whilst downloading if the file is in high demand :D

Leave one or two files running that have finished - it helps with your ranking too as well as other downloaders.

Is there a way to boost your upload speed? Because say I was downloading a file, my upload speed would be say, 20kb/s. But once i finish the download and i'm seeding, i'm still only seeding at 20kb/s. So does anyone have any tips?

I have only tried that once with a music file - I had nothing else running and turned the global max. upload limit right up, but no more than 50kB/s happened - even with a popular file. It was the Bob Marley discography, 6.7GB with download speed of up to 2050 kB/s - quiet insane! Sometimes I have files running for weeks with steady upload rates and others don't seem to shift at all - I can see how many folks want it, but no one connects???

I always leave the difficult to get one's running, like rare music files. At the moment I am uploading 30 files simultaneously and all are going between 15 kB/s and 25 kB/s. I think it has more to do with luck - like when and where you connect when you log in :)

nice, does the upload speeds slow down your download speeds of your other torrents though? And also, i'm loving that 2050kb/s, the maximum i've ever had was 900kb/s total from like 3 torrents

It does considerably slow down the download speed - even with quiet a fast processor and 4GB RAM. For some reason my connection speed has no influence on the downloads - sheer luck???

To find a happy medium, I set the download to unlimited and upload to 50kB/s

and new half open limit to 500. This keeps thing running smooth and you still help sharing quiet a bit :)

By the way, just had the same with "I Am Legend" again - downloaded in 12 min with up to 1100 from a single file!

Your so lucky, trying to make me jealous of you huh? But, when i tryed to download I am Legend, it was quite quick for me too, but took me around 6 hours or something, before i even discovered BitComet Passport, so yeah, i considered that very good back then :P. Now when i see 200kb/s i just sit there and say, "is that it?".

Same here - you get so used to fast downloads very quickly. I still have some that are creeping around for over a month at 2-5 kB/s and I wonder why I bother.

But I want them and I can be patient ;)

Seeds beautiful seeds :D

If a few more of you guys out there have the decency to keep your downloads running after they finish, this Comet would be a much better world. I can't believe that in this day and age people don't have enough space on their PC's to keep a few files running, unless you are the greedy ones that download and don't give a f..k about BitComet's community!!!
