Port is blocked after doing everything in guides

Comcast Cable Internet

I have done everything conceivable to get the port working. I created a Static IP address. I forwarded the port using the guides. I even cut off my McAfee and used only microsoft's firewall allowing Bitcomet through. This makes no sense. The only thing that is not covered in the guides and the forum is that I do have an external address which is posted right after the yellow light. I tried to change my static IP's DNS to this but no luck.

If someone can help me that would be appreciated. Thanks.

download and install u torrent this will then open the port on bit comet...it worked for me

Thanks Alexant. It didn't work, but thanks. Since no one else from bitcomet has a suggestion, I guess I'll try a different router.

If anyone has another idea, please post.

try portforward.com scroll down and see the line where routers is blue click it the look for your router and model.. do the step by step instrutions...this work on opening the wan..or listening post...

deffinately check with portforwarding.com just to make sure you have'nt missed anything but reading through the forums there are some routers with a specific gaming /utilities feature and people have been opening the ports using that feature.(just a thought).

ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR GREEN LIGHT DONT ALTER ANYTHING I HAVE HAD IT SOMETIMES WHERE IT TURNS TO YELLOW I HAVE LEFT A DAY OR TO AND IT COMES BACK TO GREEN. I ALSO START BITCOMET UP WITH THE FIREWALL SWITCHED OFF TO SEE IF THE GREEN LIGHT COMES ON IF IT DOES NOT I DONT WORRY BECAUSE I GET THE SAME DOWNLOAD SPEEDS (I THINK ITS ALL A BIT OF A CON)

AS FOR BUILDING YOUR PROFILE FROM PRIVATE TO ETC THAT IS ALL A CON AS WELL

hi there sorry to hear you are having problems with the wide area network light wan for short. i have a seimens gigaset se 587 router and my firewall is zonealarm free and avg 8.0 free. i to had problems at first with the green light issue and guess what, at the time i was running macafee. so i uninstalled it and went for the above mentioned protection and all is well now. i also followed portforwarding.com to the letter that will definatly do the trick. if not then format your computer with recovery discs. then just install zonealarm and avg forward your desired port and it WILL sort it out. i use a port in the range 60000 ish. i hope this help you out i know how demoralizing that nasty yellow light can be.
