I'm experiencing the same problem, but try leaving the computer after your download starts for about 30 mins, because whenever I immediately leave my computer, it crashes and doesn't download. Also, are you using an old computer? because my computer is quite old, and i don't think my CPU can handle it anyways.

Don't forget that you can download an older version of BitComet from here:

if u r facing problem in 1.07 ver. than most of chances that u have outdated hardware,

try old ver. which is more stable like 1.06 or 1.05 . if u stil cant download than

batter u go for other torrent p2p software, which is lighter than bitComet like,

utorrent ... http://filehippo.com/download_utorrent/ ...

Its possible the disk cacheing settings in bitcomet are wrong for your pc , alittle experiment with them might help.I had the same problem with a different client and played with them settings and it cured it. might work ,might not something to look at.

cheers.

I also had the same problem with 1.07. Everytime I left the computer on to download it crashed..also got the blue screen from time to time and my computer outfit is new with vista. So it's not the computer outfit...I used 0.97 before the previous version so went back to it. It works like a charm. So I would try an older version. Seems to me the newer version needs some work done to it.

dixon11 (ria1) never said which OP hes using , im using xp sp3 and have never had a prob with 1.07.

its possible it isnt configured right, dodgy download ,hasnt installed correctly , hasnt said if had a previous install . there are so many possible answers but when nobody gives any feed back to the answers already provided to the questions posted .how on earth are we the community supposed to help anybody.

The answers are alrady out there , the questions get asked again and again ,and theres the few who go round trying to help , but when you get no feedback why do we bother.

cheers
