Restart partialy downloaded files from hard drive

Is it possible to restart partialy downloaded files from hard drive?
When I downloaded the new version of BitComet it worked fine till I rebooted by computer and now my task list is empty. The partially downloaded files are still on my hard drive, can they still be used or do I have no choice but to start at the beginning?
