Downloads stop at 99.9% any cure

Has anyone figured out why almost all downloads of applications,mp3,or movies stop at 9.9.9% with just a few kb left and cant be restarted or used?

This little bug is especially bad on large torrents...

I dont know why it does this, but fortunately i know a way to fix it.

first: go to the torrent properties (right click, properties)

second: un-check ONLY the files that are almost done

third: press ok and wait a few seconds

last: go back to the torrent properties and re-select the files you want.

It should start right back up and finish.

hmmmmm, I'm new to this sorta thing, but stopping the d/l and then doing a manual has check then restarting the torrent seems to do trick for me.

Unfortunately this doesn't always work - If go into options/task and tick the box next to: Add .bc! to unfinished file, then you have the option to rename the unfinished file.

Stop the download, right-click the file in it's directory folder and rename it by removing the .bc! at the end and it will show you a completed file. It has worked for me on numerous occasions - movie files or multiple music files.

By the way - since I am running BitComet 1.09 stable release, I have not come across this problem again - may be they have sussed it out now ;)

Give it a try - you can always undo the rename if it doesn't work - no harm done.

It is used to make u upload the stuf for a litle longer. It hapendes whit files u download weru fast :)

all i do to solve the 99% problem is to preview the download and then leave it and it will drag the last bits through even when the download green arrow jumps to upload orange. give it ago...drill
