upload figure not correct?
Size: Large, Medium, Small Tue Feb 10, 09 08:44 AM | Category: My Postbar

Hi, I just checked my uploads and find that it is showing 48kbps but the actual figures on the files shows as 28kbps.

Where is the extra going? I don't want to stop seeding for others but want to be sure this is ok before I continue.

Can anyone help please.

Thanks

28 kbps is ur actual upload speed .& extra bandwidth (48-28) 20 kbps is ur connection making speed.. . that connection making speed is not worthy for u .. so dont worry if u got diff in actual speed & upload speed .. just restart ur bitcommet again .. so thats not a bit commit problem .. batter u upload a another torrent . which doesn't consider connection bandwidth .. keep seeding .. thx

There are fragments of good advice in this topic, so I will try to explain in one clear easy to understand reply.

Your title bar reading 48kB/s is your Gross upload. This is combination of...

Torrent uploads 28kB/s

Overhead (communications) probably less then 5kB/s

LongTerm Seeding (you should set a limit on this so it doesnt use excessive bandwidth.

Your combined Global max upload and LTseeding max should be about 80% of your connection speed max upload.

Thanks guys

Not sure I understand all that you have said but the main point is that it is not a problem.

Thanks for your advice
