IP address showing wrong!

yellow light is showing and when i looked i noticed the ip address in not what my true ip is? i went thru the portforwarding and still never worked! any idea on how i can fix the ip thingy please in lamens terms as im not a computer wizard like some. thx in advance dartnut ;)

If your talking about the WAN IP address being different maybe it's because you have a Dynamic IP, but that shouldn't matter if you opened your listen port and assigned your pc an IP, if on a router.

I have exactly the same thing. Did the port foprwarding, have the static IP adress, even installed the port checker, still no dice. And I'm starting to think it is indeed because the IP adress listen by the listening port is not the same as the static adress I estavlished. The above link did not solve this problem at all, as it is just about port forwarding. I'm getting very frustrated, not being able to change my yellow light green. Thanks.
