Please backup any existing tasks, uninstall bitcomet, then delete the bitcomet folder in your program files folder, then reinstall.

Make sure your logged in as administrator when you install it, and give all users full access to the files.

Although I personally use Vista ultimate x64, and don't have this problem, I suspect it is because bitcomet is unable to save the tasks when shutting down, because the user (you) doesn't have permissions to save files in that location.

Then what about Unfinished Downloads resuming? I have the same problem as z4k3ru. All my downloaded and downloading content are missing. I use BitComet 1.02. Windows XP. I have the .bc! (Unfinished BitComet Download) file, though. Just that when I open it with BitComet, it prompts me to start a new .torrent file. What can I do? Reinstall BitComet? Thanks.

But it store itself on VirtualStore ( which normally can be edited.. )

When I take a look at the folder...

the file named Download.xml was renamed to Download.xml.temp

and when BitComet closed it stays like that but supposedly renamed to Download.xml not with .temp

but I already take a workaround trick...with script

and I hope it will be fixed >.<

Yes, I forgot that vista stores them in your "virtualstore" folder.

To view this folder, you will probably need to enable viewing of hidden/system files and folders in "folder options"

You can find this foler here, assuming you used default install options.

c:\users\"your name"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BitComet\

What happen???

I use BitComet 1.07 (2 years ago in Windows XP SP2) to download all my torrent files, and it works.

But some time ago I miss all the list of my files. I try to uninstall and install again, but didn't solve my problem.

I found all my ".torrent" files in "C:\Program Files\BitComet\archive" and I try to reload into BitComet. Until here it run well... but it not occur when BitComent is closed and opened again. How to solve it?

Is the problem caused by virus? It is the first time happen to me. Help me pleaseeee!!!!!
