mpcstar no sound under Windows Vista

I am using mpstar under Windows Vista. One day it suddenly does not play sound. My computer can play sound by using Windows Media Player.

I tried uninstall, reboot, reinstall and still no sound. I am using the latest mpcstar.

If I install the same version of sotware onto a Windows XP computer, everything is OK.

Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this?

Maybe I can help both of you:

I always played movies using mpcstar under Windows Vista and today (05/31/2009) suddenly happened the same problem of yours. Then I entered into this forum...and I remembered the last thing that I did: I opened a SWF flash file. If you opened something like this, try to open the SWF flash file again, close the mpcstar, and open another file like a .avi, .mpg.

I got successful after this. I hope that you can it.

Regards and good luck!

Hello, glad that your problem solved. But to solve this problem, we need to know the reason and fix in next version. Could you all provide more detailed information? Such as video format, Audio decoder? (For audio decoder, you can view by click "File->File info->Audio decoder->In"). Thank you for your support.

The suggestion solves mine too. At first i'm very upset about the problems since most of my movies and anime are opened using the mpc star. I thought my computer sound system got problems then i tried use other players and they still functioning. Then i conclude only the mpc star got problems and i try the above suggestions and it finally works. THXXXX a lot man for sharing!
