The Following Information is Needed to help you

1. Your Version of BitComet

2. Your version of Windows and some basic info about your computer

3. Do you use a Router, What model, and have you properly forwarded your listening port

If your asking a question about a specific torrent or files you downloaded, then be sure to list the full torrents name, as well as the full file names and extensions

If you don't provide this basic info, your topic may be locked or deleted to keep the forum clean and tidy for those who follow rules.

For Speed related issues, please run several speedtests from a site like (speedtest.net), making sure no other computers are using your internet connection, and all programs are closed, including bitcomet. Then post the results, along with the settings your currently using, and we will review, and offer suggestions to improve your performance.

I'm going to try leaving this topic unlocked, but DO NOT post support requests in this topic, they will be ignored.

It would have been nice if "and have you properly forwarded your listening port?" was followed by something like: If not, go to http:\\blah.blah.com for help on how to do this.

I see your point, but the reason I haven't is because we would be sending users who don't even use a router, in an endless search on how to setup a piece of hardware they don't even have.

If you need help setting up your router, you can find guides for most models at...

http://portforward.com

I however prefer to refer people after they have described their system, connection, and versions of software.

You're right, TuuS. I'm sure there are many who would ignore the question and go straight for the link.

I found the portforward.com link via Yahoo search... very helpful people over there.

I have been using BitComet exclusively for more than three years and I am very grateful to the entire BitComet team for developing this great program.

My son stuck that plastic bag on his head of his own volition about a year and a half ago when he was two. Yes, I know... plastic bags and toddlers don't mix and he has never had the opportunity to get his hands on one since this singular occasion. Still... it is a funny picture and priceless to me.
