A warm welcome to everyone by a new BitComet'er.

 

Ever since I began using BitComet, downloading stuff has become a bit easier. Seeing how info sharing develops, I can't be surprised all torrents are trying to develop some kind of barrier between Pure-Leechers and Social-Filesharers.

 

Lately, i've noticed most of the connections that my BitComet tries to establish are 90% disconnected due to DHEv2 "thing". I looked up the internet for this and it came out only with answers of "Encryptions Protocol" or, in many many MANY cases "Look it up at Google".

 

Let's face it, if we're to find a "Search it at Google" answer everytime we use Google, we'll never be able to get answers we need.

 

So, I'm asking you for a bit of explanation on DHEv2 protocol. What is it? How am i supposed to use it? How can I establish a connection between me and such a person?

Hi everyone I too have noticed an increase in dhev2 users in my peers list.

However, I′ve set up bitcomet correctly (I think) ports forwarded and added loads of trackers.

But I never ever seem to connect to anyone using this encryption.

I′ve been downloading for ages now using bittorrent client, and am a good uploader. If I can′t think of anything to download I′ll look for the torrent that is in the worst shape imaginable, download and seed it!

But even when I′m pure seeding a good torrent s/p ratio is good e.g. 300/100 I never seem to connect to the dhe users... ever!

I′ve googled this and found out that one of the reasons a new version of dhe was created is that isp′s were sending false pakages in with the good ones we were trying to send. Polluting if you will the dhe system.

Have the isp′s perhaps carried this through, and started corrupting again. Also I′m on Belgacom and am aware they do bandwith shaping, mostly at night. However I have contacted them and they have reassured me that through office hours this is no longer done.

!!!SO WHY CAN′T I CONNECT TO DHE USERS!!!

Lots of people are experiencing this problem, on different trackers, isp′s and in different countries. Does anyone have more info on this dhev2 and perhaps more importantly why we can′t connect to those users.

p.s.I know the last post was ages ago, but if i found this maby others will too and answer the questions. Also apolegies to eruben for posting another question on your string, but we are all in the dark here.

Someone please enlighten us.
