Try virtualbox, i run mpcstar in a winxp VM. I'm sure that Cometbird will too. Firefox don't have a problem with it, so Cometbird should work too. Use Xmarks, or cometbird's equivalent to keep bookmarks the same. Only thing is you have to set up a shared folder, to be able to transfer files between host and guest OS. The shared folder shows up as a networked drive in my Winxp guest, so it's a little slow to access it, but i just transfer the file into the guest OS.
