1. you do not have the proper video codecs installed on your system.

Try "K lite codec pack" or "combined community codec pack"

WARNING: (improper installation of codecs can make your system unstable)

2. the files contain DRM (digital rights management), and you don't have a license to play this video.

Delete the files, as the person sharing them intends you harm. No .wmv files with DRM are shared in torrents without some malicious intent.
