As far as who Founded blogging that is a question that is up for arguement some say that the Fith President James Monroe started the first Blog yet if you Google it that wouldn't be possible considering the lifespan (April 28, 1758 – July 4, 1831). Others say that Les Earnest created it. . . mind you if you look that up it will tell you that he created the Finger Protocol (Sometime in 1971-December 1977). (As opposed to blog if you read above definition is Weblog.) Then their was Justin Hall (January 1994) began compiling lists of sites (which follows what a BLOG actually is, a WeBLOG,) on Links.net. Carolyn Burkes goes on to Publish an online diary (January 1995) which is a modernized Weblog of events. And here comes the argument between Dave Winer (April 1997), Jorn Barger and James Joyce (December 1997), and if you look that up, says that Jorn Barger said "And by my strictest definition Winer (Referring to Dave Winer) wasn't quite a blog--he mixed up the reverse-chronological ordering too much. So--unsurprisingly--the first 100 percent Weblog would be mine." And later said his site amounted to something of a day-to-day log of his reading and intellectual pursuits--and because it was online, he called it a "WebLog." And thus a new term, which would soon be abbreviated and de-capitalized to "blog" by Peter Merholz of Peterme.com, was born. And so the story goes on.
