With all the fury over whether or not female stars are bankable in leading roles, it’s interesting to note that they seem to have no problem leading Asian horror remakes. When an actress can’t make money doing anything else, there’s always the Asian horror remake film. They all line up to do it. It’s almost a rite of passage at this point. Jessica Alba’s turn comes next year, with an Americanized remake of The Eye.

The Eye stars Alba as a woman who has her site resotred with an eye transplant, and then starts seeing shadowy, haunting images. Lionsgate has just sent us a brand new teaser poster for the film. Check it out. Freaky stuff:
