We have seen Vista user account controls causing this problem where the downloads.xml file isn't able to be saved when closing down, because the user account doesn't have permissions to change the file. If your user account controls are turned off, it will behave normally, and save the .xml file/s within your bitcomet folder, but if you have it enabled, it will save the files within your "virtual store" folder for your account.

I think if you would find the download.xml file, and look in the properties and make sure you have given "full access" to all users, and it should solve the problem. Of course you will need to do this from an Admin user account.

My advice is - why spoil something that is perfectly OK? Don't always rush for the latest version - these are never flawless.

I use 1.09 and after some major hick-ups in the beginning things are running more than smooth for me.
