I d/l a movie which "finished 100%", but remains as a "bitcomet" file not .avi. In my C:\Program Files\BitComet\torrents folder --- its referred to as an XML document. How can I convert to .avi?

Help! I've never had this problem before.

The xml file is a file bitcomet uses to store task specific data, and is NOT the file/s you downloaded. The movie your looking for is in your designated download folder.

Why is the final download a "bitcomet" file and not an .avi file? Is there a chance that is wasn't final download a "bitcomet" file and not an .avi file? Is there a chance that is wasn't a 'complete' download and needs more seeding?

Thanks for your help.

I stand corrected: I did find the movie as an .avi. I also noticed that I have an 252kb .sri file (can I safely delete this?)

I might be wrong, but I thought that the .sri files are the subtitles. If that is so, you can delete this one safely and there will be no subtitles on screen when watching the movie.

Cheers
