help me improve download speed

my speed test is 3.19mb/s download and upload speed is 0.14mb/s

i have bitcomet 1.12

windows xp service pack 2

what can i do to download faster

please help guys

the maximum speed that you can get from torrent and http protocols is 8 times less than that. the only settings that can help you are:

1. forward the listen port in your firewall/router

2. set global max upload rate to 80% of your max (0,14mb/s if that picture is real)

3. it's not recommended but allowing more connections per task can boost your speed. it's not recommended because your router may not be top notch and crush because of that. set this in options/advanced/the seventh line if i recall correctly.

4. use dht and emule only when there's nothing else or when seeding as it will eat your bandwidth
