We have an older woman at work. She likes to talk about her religion. She talks about how having a father in the home reduces, if not prevents, problems with her children. She insists her way is the right way for everyone.
But this woman is depressed. She speaks in a tone that is offensive. She talks down to her co-workers. She judges other people's situations and swears that would NEVER happen to her. She is probably the most judgemental and greedy person I know. However, she is not this way outside of work.
Oustide of work she is one of the most loving people I have ever met. And we all understand it's because her upbringing; the way she was raised not to speak to her husband in a disrespectful way. The man has the final say. I think in her home she isn't allowed much opinion at all. Her husband ignores her and her children are grown. So we tolerate her bipolar ways at work as a way for her to release the frustration. She is menopausal......
