Now, this is a difficult one. I have been smoking for 12 years and recently I have decided to quit. Before I did quit though I went out and did a little research, utilizing the library on campus I tried to find out how many people really do stop smoking. To some it may come as a shock and to others it is expected, but most people DO NOT stop smoking after the first time. For most people it is a multitude of failures until success is gained. With this knowledge comfortably in my possession I went out and did more research. Cornering my students and my fellow colleagues at the university I tried to find out how many of them smoked, who are still smoking and who never smoked. There are several categories of smokers: 1) The Casual SmokerThis is the most common smoker, they love company and they love to smoke in company.
