Sunday MorningBy Caron C.Sunday morning

eyes
not yet open vaguely
sensing the dawn

reaching next to me
you
more still than these
new nights
have seen

i touch the realness
of your body next to mine
and remember

i feel the slow smile while
memories dance
and float
in my groggy attempt
at consciousness

we talked for
hours
didn't we

and loved

oh, how we loved
how we devoured each other

now

we carefully sculpt
(or did we simply redirect It)
what is coming
to be
our new life together

after too long
we are on NEW GROUND

we have come to
a NEW
UNDERSTANDING

Sunday morning

wrapped in the newness
we've fought so hard for

hold on
my love

the wait was worth
the fight

the brass ring is ours and

the ride has only

begun

God Sends AngelsBy CherYou where one of them.
I walked in that night
you had a smile on your face sitting at the bar.
Soon you moved to the other side of the room
and I could still see your smile from across the room.
I just sat there thinking bring that smile to this side of the room.

Then another walked in
and ask to join me and I said yes.
But then the smiling face across the room
got up and walked my way.

I thought yes I want to know what makes you smile
so keep on coming my way.
She ask if she could join my party and of course I said yes.

That smile turn out to be an Angel from God,
one that touched my heart
and one that gave her smile to me,
when I needed it more than anything at that moment.

You have become a friend since that night,
with that smile that warms my heart.
When I was down so low yesterday,
God sent me an Angel again.
That Angel was you my Friend.

MY PARTNER, MY LOVERBy Christina McArthurAfter all of these years,
Confusion and tears.
After all of this time,
My heart being blind.
Thinking that there was no such thing as the "best",
No such thing as complete and utter "happiness".
Then came the day that forever changed my views,
that long awaited day when I met you.
You opened my eyes without effort at all,
You opened my heart and in love I did fall.

Never have I met one so kind and so wise,
A natural wonder in disguise.
Your street smarts protect me and "keep it right",
Your loving arms embrace me all through the night.
With you I am safe, protected and admired,
You fill me with joy, awe and desire.

You're strong and daring, you're gentle and kind,
You have a heart of gold and a beautiful mind.
My love for you makes me smile, laugh and cry,
With you forever I want to live and to die.

Woman to woman, lovers and friends,
With you I will stay through the very end.
Woman to woman in and out of the covers,
We will forever continue to be partners and lovers.
--------------- Dedicated to the love of my
--------------- life........Lynn

I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store
Line. But, you didn't see me, put an extra £10.00 in the collection
plate last Sunday.

I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on
the sidewalk. But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall.

I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But, you didn't see me, attending a meeting to raise more money for
the hurricane relief.

I saw you, roll up your window and shake your head when I rode
by. But, you didn't see me, riding behind you when you flicked your
cigarette butt out the car window.

I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children. But, you
didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the
homeless.

I saw you, stare at my long hair. But, you didn't see me, and
my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.

I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather jackets and gloves.
But, you didn't see me, and my brothers & sisters donate our old ones
to those that had none.

I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos. But, you didn't see
me, cry as my children were born and have their name written over and
in my heart.

I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But,
you didn't see me, going home to be with my family.

I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted
into my lane.

I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car. But, you didn't see
me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.

I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the
road. But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me
to take the next turn.

I saw you, race down the road in the rain. But, you didn't see me,
get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his
date.

I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of
time. But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right.

I saw......

I am now, probably for the first time in my   life, the person I have always wanted to be.  Oh, not my   body!  I sometime despair over my body, the wrinkles, the baggy   eyes, and the sagging butt.  And often I am taken aback by that old   person that lives in my mirror (who looks like my mother!), but I don't agonize over those things for long.

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter
belly.  As I've aged, I've become more kind to myself, and less
critical of myself. I've become my own friend.

I don't chide myself
for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying   that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio.  I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be   extravagant.

I
have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they   understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until
  noon?

I will dance with
myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60&70's, and if I, at the   same time, wish to weep over a lost love ... I will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will

dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set.
They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful.  But there again, some of life is just as

well forgotten. And I  eventually remember the important
things..

Sure, over the years my heart has been
broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved   one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets
hit by a car?  But broken hearts are what give us strength and
understanding and compassion.  A heart......
